A Heart Called to Cuba... Our History
Missions have always been close to my heart. In 2020, that calling took me to Poland to serve at a basketball camp for international youth. That one trip opened the door to many others — returning to Poland, traveling to the Dominican Republic, serving in Colombia to help build a church — each experience deepening my passion for sharing the love of Christ across cultures.
But it wasn’t until 2022, when I set foot in Cuba for the first time, that something truly profound happened. I fell in love — not just with the country, but with the people, their churches, and their unshakable spirit. Despite the hardships they face daily, the Cuban people live with a joy and passion that pierced my heart in a way nothing else had. I knew immediately: this is where God wanted me.
Since then, I’ve led over 60 trips to Cuba with incredible teams who, like me, have been forever changed by the Spirit of Christ at work on that island. What began as a simple desire to serve has grown into something so much more. In 2016, I retired from my job and founded Selfless Community, a nonprofit devoted to sharing the truth and love of Jesus Christ in Cuba.
Through sports outreach, medical clinics, biblical teaching, evangelism, and simply building relationships rooted in Christ, we’ve become family with our Cuban brothers and sisters. We serve together, laugh together, cry together — all for the glory of God.
This journey has been far more than I could have imagined. To witness the Gospel at work in lives, to see hope restored, and to be part of a family united by the Spirit of Christ — it’s humbling beyond words. I am grateful every day that God allows me to walk this path and serve in a place that now feels like home.
What an incredible blessing it is to live this mission for the Kingdom of God.
