About Our Team

Steve Scott

Missions have always been close to my heart. In 2020, I took my first international trip to Poland, which led to opportunities in the Dominican Republic and Colombia. But in 2022, everything changed when I visited Cuba — I fell in love with the people, their resilience, and their deep faith.

Since then, I’ve led over 60 mission trips to Cuba, witnessing lives transformed by the love of Christ. In 2016, I founded Selfless Community, a nonprofit committed to sharing the Gospel through sports outreach, medical care, biblical teaching, and building lasting relationships.

What began as a simple desire to serve has grown into a lifelong calling. Cuba now feels like home, and I’m honored to be part of what God is doing there.

Sixteen years ago God worked a miracle in my life and guided me into a sober life. Once sober, He asked me to give away the gift He had given me to others who were in the midst of the same struggle. I am very active in the States doing just that by following His lead.

A friend from Church invited me to go to Cuba last year to help with the work they were doing. I went and I was hooked instantly...God had me right where He wanted me.

I have participated in all the activities while down there including the medical clinics, evangelism, and working with the kids. In addition to that I have spent a great deal of time helping them get a 12 step program up and running locally.  Currently I am working to get meetings going online for those who want to get sober and we are making good progress by following God's plan and direction, but there is a lot more to do.

God has expanded my original mission field and I am excited and honored to be a part of the Selfless Community mission outreach here!!!
